Avast game mode is an option that optimizes the configuration of your computer to play games. It turns off notifications and pauses updates to let you focus on the game. Additionally, it adjusts settings on your PC to make gaming priority over other programs that could drain the CPU and cause performance degradation.
When gaming, you need lots of resources such as CPU, GPU RAM MEMORY more. Other applications or record processes can divert these resources away from your gaming program, causing it to slow down or crash. Avast game mode allows you to focus on video games by temporarily disabling background processes while also notifying you of any interruptions.
It also reduces the impact of updates and antivirus scans on the performance of your gaming by detects when you are playing the game and halting them to stop interruptions. This can be a major benefit for gamers who don’t wish to have to stop their gameplay to perform regular maintenance or risk being infected by viruses while trying to play.
Launch the antivirus application, and then click on the menu button located in the upper-right corner of the Windows taskbar. You can then choose “Settings” and then turn the switch next to Enable Game Mode to on. A special icon will be displayed in your system tray once Game Mode is enabled.
You can also visit an exclusive page within the Avast software to add specific games to the list and have them automatically switched into Game Mode whenever you play them. You might also want to disable the game mode feature of Avast at some point because of one of several reasons. It is easy to do this through the Avast GUI, and we’ll show you how in this article.
